TERMS & POLICIES

Booking conditions, how we handle your data, and what you can expect from us if something goes wrong.

Booking terms

A booking is confirmed once we have received your deposit of 20% of the total tour price and sent you a written confirmation. Until that confirmation arrives, places are held but not guaranteed.

The remaining balance is due 30 days before departure. For bookings made inside 30 days, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

Cancellations more than 30 days before departure forfeit the deposit only. Between 30 and 14 days, 50% of the tour price is retained. Within 14 days of departure, no refund is available. We recommend travel insurance covering cancellation for any reason.

We may cancel a group departure if fewer than four travellers have booked, in which case you are offered an alternative date, a different tour, or a full refund. We will not cancel for this reason later than 21 days before departure.

Mountain routes are subject to weather, road conditions and permit availability. Where a route has to change we will always provide an equivalent alternative and cover the cost of doing so.

Privacy policy

We collect only the information needed to plan and run your trip: name, contact details, passport data where a permit requires it, and any dietary or medical information you choose to share.

Passport and permit data is shared with the relevant Kyrgyz authorities and with border-zone permit offices, and with nobody else. Dietary and medical notes are shared with your guide and cook.

We do not sell your data, and we do not pass your email address to third-party marketing services. Newsletter subscription is separate from booking and can be cancelled from any email we send.

You can ask us at any time for a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the address on our contact page. We keep booking records for seven years for accounting purposes.

Terms & conditions

Travel insurance covering medical treatment, evacuation and repatriation is mandatory on all our tours. We may ask to see your policy number before departure.

You are responsible for holding a valid passport and any visa required for your nationality. We are happy to issue invitation letters but cannot be held responsible for refused entry.

Our guides may adjust or shorten an activity where they judge it unsafe. Their decision on the mountain is final, and no refund is due for an activity changed on safety grounds.

Prices are quoted in euros and are guaranteed once your deposit is received. Prices for future seasons may change until a booking is confirmed.
